Perfect for all sorts of things, your mom will be able to take this with her wherever she goes. You can find written instructions, a video tutorial, and a link to purchase an ad-free pattern on Cre8tion Crochet’s website. This pattern suggests a worsted weight cotton yarn, but most worsted weight from your stash will do!

The Simple Scrubby by yours truly is a splendid addition to a self care gift basket. This super quick exfoliating cloth use Red Heart Scrubby yarn and whatever worsted weight cotton you have in your stash. These take literally 10-15 minutes to make and you’re done! These adorable buffalo plaid coasters are ideal for your modern-farmhouse-loving mom! You can find the free pattern and an ad-free PDF available from EyeLoveKnots. The designer used WeCrochet Dishie yarn, but this is another example of almost any worsted will do. I would recommend sticking with cotton though if you have it available. You will also need a size H/5.00mm hook.

Here is one for all the book moms: The Botanical Crochet Bookmark by Fiber Flux. I love how dainty this is, and how you can choose your mom’s favorite colors! There are written instructions and a video tutorial included. You will need either sport weight or DK yarn scraps and a size F/3.75mm hook. Gotta love it when the pattern calls for scraps! The finished bookmark will be about 1.5″wide and 11″ long including the leaves.

You will also need a 2.75″ wooden ring and a 10mm bead.

Granny Squares are all-the-rage right now, and this steering wheel cover is meant to help keep your mom’s steering wheel cool while the car is parked. You can use any worsted weight acrylic from your stash in your mom’s favorite colors! This free pattern is from Okie Girl Bling n Things. It is made to fit a 15″ standard steering wheel.

Okay, these are so cute, and what a great idea! These moccasins are made using flip flop soles, so resourceful! The beaded accent is my favorite part. They are designed by Jess of Make and Do Crew and you can find the free pattern here. She also has a link to purchase and ad-free PDF if you wish. On her blog she includes very detailed video tutorials and written instructions. She used Lion Brand 24/7 cotton.
